Common Name(s): Wild Goldenglow, Cutleaf Coneflower, Green-Head Coneflower, Tall Coneflower.
This lovely, tall variety of coneflower has fragrant, deeply lobed leaves used in herbal teas. with robust 4-9' tall stems bearing many large 4" wide golden yellow, daisy like flowers with a yellow central cone from July to September.
Plants will be more compact when grown in full sun, but they produce plenty of blooms none the less.
Plant at the back of the boarder where it will create a dense mound of lush leaves that fill space and suppress weeds.
They spread aggressively by underground rhizomes, so dont plant them in a small area.
An impressive and valuable wildflower to give color to the back of the boarder, naturalizing, along waterways, around ponds and moist shady areas.
