More information about Georg Jensen remarkably vintage dust bag from the late 1950’s, from NYC US Flagship

“GEORG JENSEN INC. FIFTH AVENUE fresh YORK” vintage grey color flap storage dust bag dating from about 1957. Cotton material colored grey with a light grey label. Dimensions: 8.5” by 8.5” (with closed flap). No matting visible, but some discoloration from silver polish or something like that or just age on front and back of dust cover. Georg Jensen Logo on hand sewn label. Sides of this storage dust cover for silver or jewelry are bordered with hand operated electric sewing machine embroidery.

Collectible and usable. Rare because it’s so old and from the USA Flagship Georg Jensen store on Fifth Ave. (667 Fifth Ave), which opened in 1935 and closed in 1968 because of the untimely death of the son of the founder, purely Lunning.
