I have owned this piece for a few years and have just thought is was the exceptionally lovely piece. I was going to make a bracelet from it but never did. Cameo is authentic carved shell. This piece is in good condition and measures 10 inches long. The cameo measures 3/4 of an inch. I would recommend googling Antique Victorian Filigree choker.
